Nokken acquires Space of Mind with plans to expand into design-led wellness

·Nokken

Nokken has announced the acquisition of Space of Mind, a Finnish company specializing in modular cabins and saunas. This move formally expands Nokken’s portfolio into the wellness and recovery sector, integrating Finnish-built sauna products into its existing ecosystem of modular hospitality units. The acquisition is intended to create a design-led platform where architecture and wellness rituals are combined into a single offering for the retreat and hospitality markets.

The Space of Mind range is characterized by Nordic craft and a lightweight, modular design that can be flat-packed for transport to remote locations. These units are already market-proven and ready for deployment, serving as a natural extension to Nokken’s core cabin and Softshell products. By utilizing sustainable materials and modern construction techniques, the units allow for the installation of high-quality wellness infrastructure with minimal environmental impact.

Strategically, the acquisition enables Nokken to better serve hotels, resorts, and spa destinations looking to enhance their recovery facilities. The integration of these modular saunas and micro-spaces provides a turnkey solution for hospitality operators to add wellness-led experiences to their sites. According to Nokken leadership, the move is designed to address the growing demand for spaces focused on how guests recover and reset within natural environments.
