Kent’s sauna specialists Sea Scrub Sauna will open their biggest site yet on Folkestone Harbour in March.
Sea Scrub Sauna is set to open its largest location to date at Folkestone Harbour this March. Positioned as the UK’s biggest beach spa, the site is located less than an hour from London by train. The new facility expands on the brand's existing presence in Kent, where it currently operates wood-fired saunas in Margate, Whitstable, and Faversham.
The Folkestone site will feature two wood-fired saunas, two cold plunge pools, and traditional bucket showers. Additional amenities include a hot tub with a jacuzzi, a wellness cafe, and a dedicated event space for yoga and moon ceremonies. Visitors will have access to traditional sauna add-ons common at their other branches, such as organic salt scrubs, oil-infused ice balls, and birch whisks used to improve circulation during heat sessions.
The venue plans to host 90-minute full moon ceremonies involving essential oil steams, birch whisking rituals, and wild swimming. Standard sauna sessions at Sea Scrub Folkestone will start at £17 per hour. The opening marks a significant scale-up for the operator, moving from individual sauna huts to a multi-facility wellness space on the coast.
